‘Cabin by the Sea’ arrived just in time for the middle of the summer festivities. Invite a group of buddies to a BBQ, serve up the drinks, food and press play! Or why not take a drive to a park with the windows down while Dirty J and Duddy B flow with lyrical style and percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa, and bassist David Foral, make you rock steady to the sound of your own heartbeat?

Earlier this week I had the chance to chat with SAVING ABEL guitarist, Jason Null. We talked about music, family, life, and Saving Abel’s brand spanking new studio album, ‘Bringing Down the Giant’.  The new album takes a bit of a different direction than their previous two records (‘Saving Abel’, ‘Miss America’) in the best possible way. 

It’s been nearly 11 years since NO DOUBT has attempted to make a mark on music. Many fans have been excited these past couple of years with rumors of a new album circulating airwaves and eardrums. Well, the wait is coming to an end my friends! NO DOUBT have confirmed a September 25, 2012 release of the band’s sixth studio album titled Push And Shove. As an added spark to this awesome surprise, the band announced that their first single titled “Settle Down,” will debut July 16th.

Today the music world mourns the loss of not only a great musician, but a wonderfully talented ambassador to all music. We say farewell to Adam Yauch (more commonly known as the great MCA). Though the cause of death is not confirmed at this time, MCA was diagnosed and treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node and underwent surgery and radiation therapy back in 2009. He also became a vegan under advisement of his Tibetan doctors. (Watch the announcement below)
