Blink 182 has canceled their headlining Bamboozle performance.  The band canceled their performance because drummer Travis Barker must have an emergency tonsillectomy surgery.  My Chemical Romance will replace Blink 182's headlining position on Saturday May 19 at the Bamboozle Festival. The festival has released a statement about the lineup revision:

"The Bamboozle 2012 has revised its lineup for Saturday, May 19 due an emergency tonsillectomy for Travis Barker.  Blink-182 will be greatly missed and all of us at The Bamboozle extend our thoughts and best wishes to Travis for a speedy recovery.

The Bamboozle is pleased to announce My Chemical Romance has been added to the lineup and will perform before the Foo Fighters on the main stage on Saturday.

It's been nearly 42 years since the rock world lost Jimi Hendrix. Now, it seems, the guitar god will be resurrected.  After lingering in the rumor mill for years, "All is by My Side" a biopic chronicling the meteoric rise of Hendrix is officially in the works, according to the Irish Film and Television Network.

The Westchester County, NY based Go For Launch are a favorite of everyone here at Tri-State Rock. What we've learned, though, is that its not just us - this band is about as addictive to the ears as meth is to middle-America. Every time we play tunes off their most recent record, "Frequency Change", new fans are instantly born. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Go For Launch's "blast-off" is imminent. (No, I won't apologize for the gratuitous pun.)

Today the music world mourns the loss of not only a great musician, but a wonderfully talented ambassador to all music. We say farewell to Adam Yauch (more commonly known as the great MCA). Though the cause of death is not confirmed at this time, MCA was diagnosed and treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node and underwent surgery and radiation therapy back in 2009. He also became a vegan under advisement of his Tibetan doctors. (Watch the announcement below)

In anticipation to their new record, “Cabin by The Sea”, “THE DIRTY HEADS” premiered a video for the first single off the album “Spread Too Thin”. Watch it below or click here. Their previous album, “Any Port in a Storm” was a perfect blend of rock, hip-hop, and reggae.  Imagine SUBLIME with more hip-hop influence, and you have the basic breakdown of what to expect from "THE DIRTY HEADS". Still, do not limit their sound at all. They throw in various surprises with their unique ability to blend everything so well. I look forward to the June 19th release of “Cabin by The Sea” and can’t wait to see them live this summer.
