Trioscapes reveal series of record release parties, talk new record in Tri-State Rock exclusive - archive available
During a recent interview with Tri-State Rock, Dan Briggs (Between The Buried And Me) and Walter Fancourt of the new jazz-fusion outfit Trioscapes detailed their Metal Blade Records debut album, played the music that inspired them while writing the record and fielded a barrage of questions from the fans.
The debut record, entitled "Separate Realities", is due out on May 8 in North America. While two tracks, "Blast Off" and "Wazzlejazzlebof" have been available to stream via the band's official Facebook page, it was revealed that more samples are on the way in preparation of the release.
In addition, Briggs and Fancourt broke the news that the band would be hosting a weekend worth of album release parties in and around their hometown. The following dates/venues were confirmed:
Friday, May 4 - Trioscapes w/Bronze Chorus @ The Broach Theatre in Greensboro, NC
Saturday, May 5 - Trioscapes @ The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta, GA
It was revealed that the album will be available for purchase at the shows, which will provide fans the opportunity to get their hands on the record several days prior to its May 8 release. In addition, Briggs revealed that he personally is footing the bill for the vinyl edition of the LP, which will be available for pre-order through the band's official website, www.metalblade.com/trioscapes. Head on over there now and take advantage of the pre-orders that are currently available for "Separate Realities", which include a promotional t-shirt, while supplies last.
Dan also took a moment out to discuss the progress of the new Between The Buried And Me record, which was a popular topic in the fan chat during the episode. The full archived episode, including highlights, can be viewed here.
