Between The Buried And Me shows fans notes of music soon to melt their faces; excitement ensues
Last April, North Carolina's progressive metal powerhouse Between The Buried And Me unleashed a monster upon the world by the name of "Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues". This EP, the group's Metal Blade Records debut, was a 30 minute piece of beautiful chaos. Continuing in the style of previous concept-album offerings like "Colors" and "The Great Misdirect", the 3 song disc delivered continuous music from beginning to end without a break in tracks and was as eclectic and progressive as possible.
The only problem was: the EP left fans STARVING for more.
That said, there is MASSIVE excitement surrounding the full length successor to 'Parallax' that BTBAM is currently working on. They've been writing for the past two months or so and will be entering Jamie King's "Basement Studios" this Monday to get the recording process underway. Magic is going to be happening in North Carolina and I for one will be anxiously awaiting updates from the studio and will be reporting on them here.
The band released this image today along with the following message via their official Facebook page to get fans in a frenzy of excitement as they prepare to lay down their much anticipated LP.
"It's all been written and rehearsed...now it's time to record it! The next pictures you see will be from Jamie King's studio in Winston-Salem, NC starting Monday..."
I don't know what the hell those notes mean - but holy crap do they excite me. I'm sure this reaction is shared by BTBAM die-hards everywhere, and we'll be covering every update that comes on this album in the coming months leading up to the rumored to be October release.
