Guns N' Roses Fans Walk Out On U.K. Performance
We all already know that Guns N' Roses are not known for their punctuality. A typical Guns N' Roses concert doesn't begin until well past 11 pm. This has a tendency to piss off many concert goers and can lead to some unruly crowd participation. However, In Manchester England last night fans simply couldn't be bothered.
Rather than becoming irate and throwing things at the stage, U.K. fans simply left, many before the show even started. By the time the band went on, one hour after their scheduled time at 11 pm, the 10,000 seat venue was only at a capacity of 6,000.
Adhering to the current trends of modern concert going, many fans ran to twitter to voice their concerns. Fan Alison Parker tweeted, “I’m angry. Guns N’ Roses? No Goons and Losers. Had to leave for the last train before they even graced us with their presence. Disgusted.” Many of the fans who stuck around eventually gave in and began throwing cups at the stage to express their frustration in the old fashioned way.
Those who did choose to stick it out got to experience a 33 song set that ended at 2:15 am. The band's twitter and facebook accounts didn't mention anything about the walk out. Their social media pages simply posted: “A tip of the hat to the good folk at the Manchester Arena. To say Manchester rocks is an understatement! London calling!” The group will finish their European tour in London with two nights at the O2 Arena May 31 and June 1.
