System Of A Down/Deftones Summer Tour Dates Released (Updated)
Grammy-winning Armenian metal outfit System Of A Down has got the internet buzzing with excitement today.
After some semi-cryptic messages accompanied by photographs were sent out via Twitter of Shavo from SYSTEM and Chino from DEFTONES holding tour passes with the opposite band's name on them, a co-headlining trek was all but confirmed on Friday. The official announcement is slated to come today, with dates and venues expected to be revealed.
At the time of this story being published, the official announcement has not yet dropped. What has, however, is a Live Nation announcement slating System Of A Down as the headlining act of a show on August 2 at the Susquehana Bank Center in Philadelphia. We'll update this post when the release comes out.

After having been very active in the late 90's and early 2000's, System Of A Down last released two albums in 2005, "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize". This trek will mark the band's 1st full U.S. tour since coming off a 5-year hiatus last year. Given that they haven't made too many trips around North America in recent years, there are scores of fans who are chomping at the bit to get out and see them live.
