The 4th of 5 reasons that the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival is the show to see this summer.
The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, boasting one of the most high-profile line ups, is shaping up to be the show to see this summer, despite some thick competition.
This week, we’re bringing you the 4th in our series of 5 reasons why you should be there. You can view the previous articles in the series here:

4 The Experience
The 4th reason is simple. ‘Mayhem’ truly does bring the festival experience to the concert-goer. A lot of summer tours call themselves “festivals”, but we think that term is sometimes a bit loosely used. I’ve been disappointed to buy tickets to a festival and find that the show is just a show sans fun outdoor activities. The Mayhem Festival is truly an all day festival. The bands are all on point and the acts play on a very tight and well-managed schedule.
What’s even better, though, is the all-day experience of the show. If a band comes on that you don’t really care for you can roam the concert grounds for more fun and debauchery. There are tents that sell various products and radio promotion tents running fun contests. By the time the headliners come on you’ve already had a full day of metal-loving fun.
What’s even more, is that after you rage all day and rock out to all your favorite bands, you can still take the experience further if you so choose. Enter the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem BOAT. This December the official Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Cruise will set sail from Florida. The official announcement and details will be announced on Monday April 30th.
Some details, however, have already been released. Kevin Lyman, Vans Warped Tour founder and producer of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, has confirmed to Metal Insider that The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Boat will take place December 7-11. The floating festival will feature performances by LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX, MACHINE HEAD and SUICIDE SILENCE as well as other, yet-to-be-announced acts from the Metal Blade, Sumerian, Roadrunner and Century Media labels. KORN's Jonathan Davis and SLIPKNOT's Sid Wilson will DJ on the cruise as J-Devil and DJ Starscream, respectively, and there will also be a film festival presented by Fangoria and SLIPKNOT's Shawn "Clown" Crahan, who will also curate a charity art show.
