Its no secret that the hard rock powerhouse GODSMACK has some of the most devoted, die-hard fans on the scene today. These self-professed “Smackers” eat, sleep and breathe the Boston quartet’s brand of bone-crushing hard rock and in turn provide the band with the ability to continue entertaining.

As integral as the musicians are to the entire experience – it wouldn’t be possible without the fans. At GODSMACK vocalist Sully Erna’s recent intimate acoustic performance at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ, (pro-shot photos of which can be seen here) he took time in between songs to speak directly to the fans and to extend his deepest gratitude for allowing him to continue to bring music to the masses.

Here at Tri-State ROCK, we may be music journalists – but we’re FANS first. That’s precisely why we LOVE it when we get the opportunity to reward the fans for their dedication.

Here’s how you can win:

• “Like” Tri-State Rock on Facebook or “Follow” Tri-State Rock on Twitter. (You must do one or the other before the time of the contest’s end to be eligible)

• Record a 30-second (or shorter) video clip in which you explain why YOU ARE the ULTIMATE GODSMACK FAN. Use a creative background, props, costume, music – whatever it takes to get your point across! (Submissions longer than 30 seconds will not be considered)

• Submit the video clip by May 10, 2012 by uploading it to your YouTube or any other page and emailing the link to GodsmackContest@gmail.com

• Keep it locked to Tri-State Rock on FB or Twitter and we’ll be posting our favorites and narrowing down the finalists.
