Shadows Fall shooting new music video
Massachusetts’ metal masters Shadows Fall traveled down to the Tri-State area to film their latest music video in an abandoned building in Brooklyn, NY. Production for their latest video began today, March 21.
The video is no doubt to promote their seventh studio album tentatively titled, “Fire From the Sky.” The new album is set to drop in late spring/early summer from record label Razor & Tie.
Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage/Times of Grace played an integral role in the creation of this album. He not only manned the boards on this recording, but also was intimately involved in the writing of the new material. The album was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Shadows Fall recently completed a series of intimate headlining shows in select cities across the US. This string of dates is also to help the band prepare for this year’s Soundwave Festival in Sydney, Australia. Shadows Fall must be on their A-game because they’ll be sharing the festival stage with metal veterans Slipknot, System of a Down and Marilyn Manson, among others.
Shadows Fall’s last album was 2009’s “Retribution.” They followed the album up with a live concert DVD/CD titled “Madness in Manilla: Shadows Fall Live In The Philippines 2009.” The live DVD (a clip of which can be seen here) was filmed in April 2009 at the Pulp Summer Slam in Manila, Philippines and features over 60 minutes of live concert footage. Until their new album is released, fans will just have to enjoy that DVD to get their fix.
