Last week we reported that the officials of this years olympics requested a posthumous performance from the Who's Keith Moon. This week we've been bombarded with an actual posthumous performance (albeit via hologram) by none other than the long dead Tupac Shakur. So we here at Tri-State Rock thought it would be fun to see who you would like to see perform a concert from the afterlife.

This year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is set to be one of the summer’s biggest concert events.  With headliners Anthrax, Motorhead, Slayer and the one and only Slipknot, it seems like this summer festival is any metal head’s wet dream.

Linkin Park blew their entire load today, it seems, announcing not just the release details, first single and title for their new album, but also detailing their summer tour plans.

 

The Los Angeles based, genre-ambiguous band will release “Living Things”, their 5th studio album on June 26 via Warner Bros. Records. “Burn It Down”, the first single off the record, can be heard by clicking below.

The entire world is watching. Billions upon billions of people looking on in hopes their country comes home with the gold. You gotta kick it off with a bang. How do you completely stun an audience and make this the most talked about Olympics ever? Raise the dead, of course.

 

That seems to be what organizers of the 2012 Olympic Games in London had in mind for this years opening ceremony. The ceremony's organizers sent an email to The Who's management asking if Keith Moon would be available to perform. The only problem is Moon has been dead for 34 years. Ooops.
