After sending a veritable progressive metal nergasm surging through the internet last week by debuting the first new song off their upcoming record, “Telos”, BTBAM has done it AGAIN.

A few minutes ago, via a post on their official Facebook page, Between The Buried And Me directed fans to their updated webpage (www.metalblade.com/btbam) which contains a pre-order link for the new record, due out October 9. More importantly, it contains the studio version of “Telos”, available to be streamed NOW!

The track is heavy, dark and chaotic. It feels very much like I feel it should as a successor to the ‘Parallax’ EP, but with something a bit darker and even grittier about it. Everything seems a little bit more “serious”…if that makes any sense. Tommy’s screaming style definitely seems to have toughened a bit.

The tracklisting for the new record is also available and can be seen below:

The Parallax II: Future Sequence

1. Goodbye To Everything

2. Astral Body

3. Lay Your Ghosts to Rest

4. Autumn

5. Extremophile Elite

6. Parallax

7. The Black Box

8. Telos

9. Bloom

10. Melting City

11. Silent Flight Parliament

12. Goodbye to Everything Reprise

That bit is the most curious to me, as the last few BTBAM records have all favored length of song over quantity of tracks. I’d imagine this should give the record a bit of a different flow and vibe.

Check out the official stream of “Telos” below, then sound off and let us know what YOU think! The video features all sorts of crazy artwork, too.
