Mike Portnoy is not only an incredible drummer but he’s also an expert multi-tasker.   He is a founding member of Dream Theater, and has played with Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob, and Flying Colors.   His hard work has definitely paid off because for a second straight year his drumming makes him perhaps the most popular drummer in the world. Portnoy won "Best Drummer" and "Best Progressive Drummer", in DRUM! magazine's 17th annual readers poll.  Over 9,000 fellow drummers voted in this poll, and what’s more honoring than receiving an award from your colleagues?

Although many Metallica fans have had mixed feelings about the band’s most recent endeavor with Lou Reed, entitled "Lulu", many are still thrilled to have the opportunity to see the band live again this summer in a festival setting.  The "Orion Music and More Festival" will be hitting Bader Field in Atlantic City on June 23 & 24.  Today a new video trailer was released to promote the festival event. 

'Orion' will feature several stages including the Damage Inc. Stage that will be completely devoted to punk and thrash music.  The festival will feature not only music, but also comedy by Jim Breuer among other non-musical acts.
