Rockstar Energy Drink has officially announced the 3rd annual Uproar Festival lineup. I’ve had the privilege of attending the first two and truly had a blast. Year one included acts such as AVENGED SEVENFOLD, STONE SOUR, DISTURBED, and HALESTORM on the main stage. The Jagermeister stage included the likes of HELLYEAH, HAIL THE VILLAIN, NEW MEDICINE, and more. Last year’s show which was headlined by A7X, also included THREE DAYS GRACE, BULLET FOR MY VALLENTINE, and SEETHER. The Jagermeister stage held acts like SEVENDUST, BLACK TIDE, and more.

There are multiple stages during this festival with cool side events that you and your mates can participate in. Tents are pitched up with all sorts of activities for you to partake which range from video games and Schecter guitar samplings, to all types of energy drink tastings and autograph opportunities from your favorite bands. There even was a pull up competition with a free t-shirt prize last year! Sure, the beer is expensive, but both times I’ve gone, we’ve been able to tailgate a bit and meet fans from all over the tri-state. It has been my personal favorite festival of the past two summers. So get out and enjoy good music, people, and activities.

Back in December, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna played a hometown gig at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA and not only brought with him a group of multi-talented, eclectic musicians - he also brought a lot of cameras. These cameras captured the captivating "Avalon" solo record, the first from Erna, being performed from beginning to end by a nearly 10-piece band featuring musicians from all over the world. The footage, slated to be premiered on Palladia TV has seen a date change and will now be premiered on June 8 at 9pm, according to a post on Erna's official website today.

Devoted fans deserve to be rewarded. Here’s your chance.

Its no secret that the hard rock powerhouse GODSMACK has some of the most devoted, die-hard fans on the scene today. These self-professed “Smackers” eat, sleep and breathe the Boston quartet’s brand of bone-crushing hard rock and in turn provide the band with the ability to continue entertaining.

As integral as the musicians are to the entire experience – it wouldn’t be possible without the fans. At GODSMACK vocalist Sully Erna’s recent intimate acoustic performance at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ, (pro-shot photos of which can be seen here) he took time in between songs to speak directly to the fans and to extend his deepest gratitude for allowing him to continue to bring music to the masses.

Last night, hard rock-powerhouse Godsmack's vocalist, Sully Erna, made the first stop on his abbreviated spring solo trek at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. While Godsmack is typically known for their majestic stage-show and bone-crushing distorted tones, fans got the opportunity to get up close and personal with Erna during the intimate and laid back acoustic show.

Following the massive success of 2010's "The Oracle", most fans suspected that Godsmack would follow their usual formula of taking a miniature hiatus while members focused on some of their other creative interests. Frontman Sully Erna has received critical acclaim and wild success on his "Avalon" side-project and the other band members have written and toured with their side-band Another Animal, which features former Godsmack guitarist Lee Richards and Ugly Kid Joe singer Whit Crane. There's even been news of an Ugly Kid Joe reunion, which would have drummer Shannon Larkin pre-occupied, too.

However, it seems that the band have all become masters of multi-tasking, because all of these projects seem to be going forward without preventing the massive Godsmack machine from missing a beat.
