Motion City Soundtrack Releases Newest Single off Their Latest Album
Minnesotan rockers, Motion City Soundtrack have released their first single, True Romance, off their newest album this week on RollingStone.com. Following up their critically acclaimed album, My Dinosaur Life, they will be releasing Go on June 12, 2012. Go was recorded this past winter at Flowers Studio in their hometown, Minneapolis with co-producer Ed Ackerson.
This is their first record since their debut album, I Am the Movie, without the involvement of a record label in the creative process. Without creative involvement from other parties, this album may very well depict Motion City Soundtrack at their finest. It has allowed them to “really stretch out during the recording process.” Go will be released with the help of Epitaph Records and the band’s own label, The Boombox Generation.
