Tri-State Rock - Latest Updates

For many fans it’s tough waiting for a new album from one of your favorite bands.  For Tool fans, it’s already been six years and counting waiting for the iconic band’s new album.  The band’s last album, ’10,000 Days,’ was released in 2006, and Tool fans have been mentally pacing in circles, awaiting a taste of new material from their psychedelic heroes. Luckily, drummer Danny Carey has offered an update on where Tool are in their writing process.

Maynard James Keenan's side project Puscifer has announced summer tour dates. Following their appearance at Bonnaroo this year the band will embark on a three week trek throughout the states, in continued support their sophomore release Conditions of my Parole. The tour kicks off on June 9, at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. For those in the tri-state area Pusicfer will play the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ on June 16. We’ve held our breath for nearly 6 years. Now, we’ve a reason to breathe again! The ever-enigmatic TOOL is set to enter the studio once more this coming summer. Drum Sponsor VIC FIRTH had the opportunity to chat with drummer Danny Carey to get the exciting news.

When asked how long the process typically takes, Carey had the following to say: "The tracking part I’d say [takes] two to three months then probably a month to mix and master and that’s it."
