Aptly-named Frankenstein Brothers weird things up at B.B. King's Monday night
When its Monday night and the opening act of the show you find yourself at is one-man act consisting of a dude screaming into an old tuba, you know you're in for something weird. When that's followed by another solo performance, this one brandishing a not readily identifiable home-made instrument that produces an incomprehensible number of bizarre-but-beautiful noises, things get even weirder. However - when those two are followed by yet another solo performer, this one being the enigmatic Buckethead, himself, entering to a vintage sounding biographical song about Colonel Sanders, well...all the weird converges into a vortex of madness which created one of the most original and incredible shows I've had the pleasure of witnessing in recent history. There was no shortage of unique instruments and sounds to get lost in.
The few hundred people who ventured out on what was nearly the coldest evening of the entire winter (even though we're now into spring) Monday night were handsomely rewarded for having done so.
