The Temper Trap Releases First Single Off of New Album
Australia’s top indie rock band, The Temper Trap, released the first single of their second album, “The Temper Trap” this past Friday. “Need Your Love” can be listened to here.“Need Your Love” is not the first taste of their second album that has been offered thus far. Recently, the Temper Trap leaked “Rabbit Hole” on their website for their adoring fans and can be seen below.
Recorded in Los Angeles at the Sound Factory, “The Temper Trap” will be dropping on May 18th in Australia and on May 21st in Europe. Unfortunately, American fans will have to wait 2 weeks until June 5th to get their own copy of the 12-track disc. It will be their first album including all five members, as Joseph Greer was recently welcomed as a permanent addition as keyboardist and guitarist.
“The Temper Trap” follows the success of The Temper Trap’s first album, “Conditions”, released in 2009. It peaked at No. 9 on the ARIA Albums Chart and into the top 30 on the UK Albums Chart. “Conditions” offered just a glimpse of the talents possessed by the members of The Temper Trap. Their first hit single “Sweet Disposition” topped the singles charts in Australia, United Kingdom and Ireland before making an impact stateside.
Those in the tri-state area are fortunate to have the opportunity to see the Temper Trap this week before they head to UK and Aussie-land. They are playing at the Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday, March 28 and at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30.
